5.4-magnitude quake hits Kermadec Islands, New Zealand -- GFZ

BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand, at 1922 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 30.32 degrees south latitude and 177.26 degrees west longitude.
