5.7-magnitude quake hits Kermadec Islands, New Zealand -- GFZ

BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 1924 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 118.3 km, was initially determined to be at 30.48 degrees south latitude and 178.56 degrees west longitude.
