6.3-magnitude quake hits 208 km WSW of Riverton in New Zealand -- USGS

HONG KONG, July 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 jolted 208 km WSW of Riverton, New Zealand, at 12:53:41 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 47.22 degrees south latitude and 165.60 degrees east longitude.
