6.2-magnitude earthquake jolts Kermadec Islands, New Zealand -- GFZ

HONG KONG, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand, at 10:39:15 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 29.68 degrees south latitude and 178.63 degrees west longitude.
